REMARKS
Epaulette Sharks are an elongated lizard-like shark and are commonly found in tide pools and on the reef flat.
Their name is derived from the two large black spots above their pectoral fins which are similar to the epaulettes on the shoulders of uniforms.
They are often seen 'walking' on their pectoral fins at night time as they hunt crustaceans and molluscs.During the day they can be found resting under corals, ledges and rocks.
