REMARKS
Some of the largest populations of Dugongs in the world live on the Great Barrier Reef.
Dugongs grow to about 3m long, can weigh up to 400kg and live to be around 70 years of age.
They have a single calf when they are between 6-17 years old and then have calves only once every 2 and a half to 5 years.

How Do Fish Communicate
The colour of fish is one of the main forms of communication. With most fish lacking any form of vocalisation, the only way to communicate is by sight. This is very important at breeding time and camouflage is another aspect which makes them less vulnerable to predators and also helps them blend into the corals.
